ABOUT INDEXLUME

Built for developers who want search they can operate.

Indexlume is an open-source project by Oryxsol. It provides a focused control plane around Typesense without pretending the underlying infrastructure disappears.

Why it exists

Application search often starts as a few API calls and grows into ingestion jobs, schema changes, credentials, retries, aliases, monitoring, and recovery. Indexlume makes those workflows explicit through one self-hosted interface.

Project maturity

Version 0.1.0 is the initial open-source release. Its supported deployment is a single-machine Docker Compose stack. It is suitable for evaluation and self-managed deployments whose operators can own networking, TLS, secrets, backups, upgrades, and capacity planning.

Independent components

Indexlume's original Oryxsol-owned application code is Apache-2.0. Typesense Server remains independently GPL-3.0 licensed, Redis retains its own tri-license, and other dependencies keep their original licenses. Indexlume is not an official Typesense product.
