Production deployment

Indexlume 0.1.0 targets one self-hosted Docker Compose machine. The project does not provide a hosted service or a universal sizing guarantee.

Before traffic:

  1. Replace every development credential and keep .env outside source control.
  2. Put a trusted reverse proxy and TLS in front of web and API ports.
  3. Restrict PostgreSQL, Redis, Typesense, and Docker access to the host/private network.
  4. Configure firewall rules and operator access.
  5. Create and restore-test an encrypted off-host backup.
  6. Record retention, recovery objectives, upgrade ownership, and monitoring.
  7. Validate representative indexing and public-search workflows.

Capacity depends on source size, document shape, query mix, facet/sort configuration, worker concurrency, disk latency, and Typesense memory. Benchmark your workload on production-like infrastructure; do not treat local development results as service guarantees.
