Workspaces and access
Workspaces contain members, Typesense connections, and projects. Projects contain data sources, collections, projections, jobs, presets, public search keys, analytics, and project audit records.
Roles
| Role | Intended use |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full workspace control, including owner-only membership operations. |
| Admin | Workspace administration and project operations below owner-only boundaries. |
| Editor | Create and change project resources, run indexing, and use Search Studio. |
| Viewer | Read project configuration, status, jobs, analytics, and permitted previews. |
Authorization is enforced by the API, not only by hidden UI controls. Requests below the required role return 403; resources outside a membership scope are returned as not found where appropriate.
Use Settings → Members to add a user, change a role, or remove a member. Role changes generate typed success or error notifications and audit activity.
